博世Bosch —— Senior Manager, New Business Development - Healthcare

Background:
New business development department is a direct investment platform within Bosch China. The key responsibility is to identify and realize new businesses opportunities which are beyond RB’s current core business, with a potential to grow to US$30-50 million in 3-5 years and represent strategic growth opportunities for the next 10-20 years.

Roles and Responsibility:
Senior Manager will lead a team in exploring new business opportunities in China healthcare market.
His/her key responsibilities include:
• Business strategy: Supervise a team on business analysis based on a thorough understanding of market, technology, competitor landscape, identifying attractive new business opportunities and formulating sound business strategy accordingly.
• Investment assessment: Supervise a team on developing investment options including organic development, M&A and strategic alliance. Presenting business proposals to top management for investment approval.
• Relationship building: Lead the partnership development with VC/PE, universities/research institutes, start-ups, government and other stakeholders in healthcare industry.
Qualification requirements:
Strong leadership, entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen:
• Ability to lead a team independently with limited resources and initiate clear courses of action;
• Ability to supervise a team to deliver excellent results under time pressure.:
• Ability to lead a team to identify new opportunities with eyes of an owner of these businesses, evaluate the potentials and risks of a business on a future-oriented view.
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills:
• Ability to structure, present and define business proposals and ideas concisely and persuasively in English;
• Ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders, build on high level of trust, and positively influence people to commitment and actions.
Proven analytical and strategic competencies:
• Proven ability to rigorously analyze industries, markets, technologies, customer segments and competition, well-structured and logical conclusions;
• Ability to build business cases based on a through understating of future trends and developments.
Other competences:
• Master degree, MBA is strongly welcomed
• At least 8 years’ experience in healthcare; experience in medical device or medical service is ideal.
• At least 3 years’ experience in BD department of MNC, consulting firm or VC/PE.
• Fluency on both English and Mandarin
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally (30%).
