What to expect
Consultants are usually deployed at one project at a time, stretching several weeks to several months. Project team size varies but is generally comparable with team size at the leading traditional consulting firms. Willingness and preparedness to travel is expected and global project opportunities exist.
Bayer Business Consulting strives to foster a positive, enriching, and productive work environment and provides multiple forms of training and professional development. Team development is supported by periodic offsite meetings (regional, global) which are deliberately designed to offer learning as well as networking opportunities.
You will also be eligible to attend training in Bayer's consulting methods and tools as part of our comprehensive professional development program; and you will play an integral role in shaping our growing Business Consulting practice. At the same time, your efforts will pave the way for a subsequent career path at Bayer.
What we are looking for – Consultant
We are currently looking for Consultant. Following are some of the responsibilities expected from our Consultants:
• You are responsible to deliver management consulting projects jointly with a team consisting of members from both Business Consulting and its clients according to the defined project objective, scope, quality standard and resource budget
• Ownership of discrete work streams, part in the problem solving in each client engagement deliverables, and client relationships;
•Consultants play an important role on the team, actively contributing to the final recommendations and often presenting their work to senior client executives.
• They also have a voice in determining the team’s style and pace of work.
• Leadership in developing effective analytical and scientific assessments and programs for clients;
•Some examples of the specific work a Consultant might do include interviewing clients, leading client teams, building financial models, creating and delivering presentations and working with BC experts to develop perspectives and insights for the clients
We are mostly interested in candidates with the following industry profiles:
• Healthcare / Pharma / Biotech / Medical Devices
• Consumer Care / Nutritionals / OTC products
• Crop Sciences/ Agriculture
• Chemical industry/ High tech materials
Your qualifications
• You have passed your university degree with distinction in Business, Economics, Life Sciences and/or Chemicals, Engineering, Organizational Behavior/Design (or similar) or related field from a top-listed university
• You have several years of working experience with demonstrated career progression
• You have a demonstrated record of team spirit and work stream ownership, worked independently and achieved measurable results
• You are self-motivated, result-driven, open-minded, collaborative and sensitive to multicultural working environments, with proven experience in a highly client-driven environment
• You have excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability and maturity to deal with senior clients
• You have outstanding analytical, conceptual and implementation skills
• Excellent command of English and Mandarin
• You need to show willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Additionally, preferred qualifications are as follows:
• MBA or Master, Ph.D. in Business, Economics, Life or Physical Sciences, Engineering, Organizational Behavior/Design (or similar) or related field
• Market and industry knowledge relevant to Bayer’s APAC operations; ideally, you have gained experience in Healthcare, Pharma, Medical Devices, Consumer Care, Crop Sciences, and/or Chemicals
• Skills and experience in functions such as Strategic Planning, Business Development, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Organization Design, and/or Change Management is recommended
• Experience with or within the Bayer Group
• International/ global work experience
•Proven practical experience gained in internships in the aforementioned industries and/or management consulting
• Experience in a leading management consulting practice strongly preferred
