Job Objectives
1. To facilitate the management and control of the China business portfolio, working closely with the businesses, ensuring that an acceptable level of risk is maintained and that repayments are made on a timely basis such that losses are kept to a minimum and arrears are economically collected, all with a view to maximize Company working capital, revenue and returns.
2. Effectively manage, supervise and support the credit risk management team in delivery of above for respective business clusters in China. Ensuring that all is delivered in accordance with established processes and work procedures and in compliance with the company’s policies and local company legal and statutory requirements.
3. Ensure that service timelines, quality, effectiveness and efficiency are met and continuously improved for the credit risk management processes.
4. Coach and develop the credit risk management team to meet and exceed service standards expected through structured training and on the job coaching
Top Responsibility
1. To monitor and successfully control credit risk by leading a team for the customer portfolio of 2 business clusters.
2. For the defined customer portfolio focus is on risk assessment, overdue management and efficient and effective sales order block management
3. As team leader guidance and functional leadership is given on credit risk management topics for team members and intensive dialogue is organized with relevant country business units partners like VPs, LOMs and other relevant local stakeholders
4. As team leader support and training is provided to the credit risk management team ensuring that the team members understand and perform the required role efficient as well as effective.
5. Support to Senior Credit Risk Manager is given by further fostering professional expertise and providing relevant input
6. To implement and establish credit risk management global processes, global tools, continuous optimization initiatives including activity split review with the company and other partners. To manage on behalf of all of the company’s legal entities, credit risk management tasks and related accounts receivable, based on operational market principle.
7. To provide decisions and transparency to stakeholders to credit risk management core processes such as reviewing customer risk, block order management and debt collection.
8. To review, inform (by way of reporting and direct contact) and support the Business Units on delinquent accounts, disputes, unallocated funds, and recommended solutions for resolution.
9. Ensure credit master data setup for new and existing customers, including installing limit expiry period.
10. Where applicable, ensure the handling of Credit Insurance for customers located in China based on Market Principle together with ZRV, including filing for coverage and claims.
11. Support Regional and Global CRM Monthly Reports by providing feedback and/or following up with local BUs to collect feedback on or before deadline in compliance with reporting requirements.
12. Support Senior Credit Risk Manager to train (or provide training) and support continuous development of Credit Management team in areas of customer risk assessment and mitigation, business partnering, debt collection strategies, knowledge of trade and bankruptcy laws, customer visitation - if applicable - and bad debt management, and all other tasks within job scope
13. Participate or contribute to local BU strategy / business steering discussions in areas of key customer management, credit risk management and early warning signals.
14. Conduct local workshops with stakeholders on topics related to credit risk management policies to ensure continuous awareness and transparency of processes.
Top Requirements
1. University Degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or Risk Mgmt
2. Minimum 5 years in Controlling, Credit Management and/or Finance with at least 3 years in management function. Operational experience in sales/business beneficial.
3. Technical & Professional Knowledge: Microsoft Office, SAP Cobalt, FSCM, Lotus Notes.
